World-renowned singer, songwriter and performer Elton John made a triumphant return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with his all new show, “The Million Dollar Piano” in Sept. 2011. At the centerpiece of the performance is the show’s namesake piano, an engineering marvel featuring more than 68 LED video screens created by Yamaha.

Throughout the past five decades, Elton has built one of the most successful and enduring music careers of all time. He is one of the top-selling solo artists, with 25 platinum and 35 gold albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits and more than 250 million records sold worldwide. The five-time Grammy® and Grammy Legend award winner has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has received both Academy and Tony Awards for his contributions in The Lion King and Aida. Additionally, Elton composed the music for the smash-hit stage production of Billy Elliot, which was nominated for a record-tying 15 Tony Awards and won 10, including Best Musical.

Vicente Fernandez is a well known Mexican singer, producer, and actor. Known as Chente or El rey de la canción ranchera throughout much of the Latin world, Vicente Fernández, who started his career singing for tips on the street, has become a cultural icon. He has recorded more than 50 albums and contributed to many movies. He is the father of the popular singer Alejandro Fernández and Vicente Fernandez Jr.

Although less well known to English-speaking audiences, he has consistently filled stadiums and venues throughout his 35-plus years of performing. His repertoire is pure ranchera, a style described by the Miami Herald as representing “the Mexico of old – a way of life romanticized by rural ranches, revolution, and philandering caballeros”. He has sold over 65 million copies worldwide.

The original creators of the Broadway production are together again for this new touring production! The play is directed by Rob Roth and choreographed by Matt West, with Costume Design by Ann Hould-Ward (Tony Award® winner for her work on Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), Lighting Design by Natasha Katz, Scenic Design by Stanley A. Meyer, Sound Design by John Petrafesa Jr. and Music Supervision by Michael Kosarin.
