On Saturday, April 12, Manny Pacquiao left the ring as a champion once again. He’s already committed to take on the winner of the Marquez vs. Alvarado bout that will happen at The Forum on May 17. But a funny thing could happen on the way to The Forum…meaning the Mayweather vs. Maidana outcome.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather will take on Marcos “El Chino” Maidana on May 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. According to the website BadLeftHook.com, Maidana “is a 24 billion to 1 underdog” and we’re pretty sure that is hyperbole. It’s true that Mayweather has a 45-0 record to the Argentinian’s 35-3 but the sporting world loves an underdog, doesn’t it? Let’s just say that Maidana pulls off the KO. Would a Mayweather loss mean we’d finally see him in the ring with Pacquiao?
Pacquiao’s long-time trainer Freddie Roach is willing but not so sure. “We’d love to fight [Floyd] Mayweather but there have been so many excuses. He really doesn’t seem to want to fight us, but we want that fight. I think my guy beats him,” Roach told the The Daily Telegraph. He goes on to comment on Pacquiao’s legacy. “The problem he has is history will judge this. The thing is he is the one who won’t fight us. Manny is going to go down in history as a great fighter, the greatest fighter of his era. Mayweather is going to go down as a great fighter, but the guy who never fought Manny Pacquiao.”
No matter what, we can always count on Mayweather for excitement so don’t miss the main event on May 3.

Frozen Fury 2013 is the weekend of September 27-28 at MGM Grand Garden Arena and it’s shaping up to be another can’t miss event. This will be the 15th edition of the annual pre-season spectacular. However, it will actually mark the 17th time the Kings have played a game in Vegas. Back in 1991 they hosted the New York Rangers for an outdoor game at Caesars Palace and Frozen Fury II was actually the first double-header, with games on Saturday and Sunday nights.
LA holds an overall 10-5 record in Frozen Fury games and Colorado is 5-8, including a decisive 4-1 victory in the last game played, back in October 2011. In addition to the 13 games vs. the Avalanche, the Kings have also played one game each against Phoenix and San Jose.
Both of these games are at the MGM Grand Garden Area and are for sure to be a great time out!

Mayweather is set to face Saul “Canelo” Alvarez on September 14 and it is expected to be one of the most exciting fights of this year. Floyd “Money” Mayweather has recently defeated Robert Guerrero via unanimous 12-round decision last May 4, 2013 at the MGM Grand in defense of his WBC welterweight title.
Mayweather, who is considered as the top pound-for-pound boxer in the world today, will put his unblemished 44-0 record on the line along with his World Boxing Association Super World light middleweight title.

The National Finals Rodeo, organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, is the premier championship rodeo event in the United States. Wrangler Jeans is the main sponsor for the 10-day event, commonly just called the National Finals or NFR, which is also sometimes referred to as the World Series of Rodeo and the Super Bowl of Rodeo. The NFR is held each year in the first full week of December, at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada.
The NFR is the final rodeo event of the PRCA season. World championship titles are awarded to the individuals who earn the most money in his or her event. Events such as: Bareback riding, Steer wrestling, Team roping, Headers, Heelers, Saddle bronc riding, Tie-down roping – formerly known as calf roping, Barrel racing, and Bull riding.
The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. was created in 1992 when a group of 20 bull riders broke away from the traditional rodeo scene seeking mainstream attention for the sport of professional bull riding. They felt that, as the most popular event at a rodeo, bull riding deserved to be in the limelight and could easily stand alone.
More than 1,200 bull riders from the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico hold PBR memberships. They compete in more than 300 bull riding events per year on either the elite tour, which is the Built Ford Tough Series, the Touring Pro Division, or the PBR International circuits. The ultimate goal for PBR athletes each year is to qualify for the prestigious PBR World Finals in Las Vegas where the coveted title of PBR World Champion is decided.
The combination of raw sport and quality entertainment has propelled the PBR to strong growth in live attendance as well. In 1995, 310,000 fans attended PBR events across the nation. Today the PBR attracts over 1.5 million live event attendees each year with its multi-tiered event structure. Impressive audience numbers indicate that the PBR is making an indelible impression on mainstream America.
